Calendar showing Events in Visitors Local Time Zone
On this page, we are using the Calendarize it! shortcode with the attribute local_tz, which was introduced in version 3.3.1 of Calendarize it!
You can use this with an integer value 1 to convert the Event time to the visitor’s time zone.
This feature is very useful if you are running a website with events that take place in different time zones. E.g. if you host online web seminars, which are attended by users from different time zones.
In the examples below, we have added the attribute feed with the value 0 in order to exclude any events from our External Event Sources add-on. We have also added the attribute calendar to show only events from this specific calendar
[calendarizeit feed="0" taxonomy="calendar" terms="online-seminars" local_tz="1"]
We added an event to the calendar which starts at 9 am and ends at 11 am EST (Eastern Standard Time). UTC Offset: UTC -5:00.
If you are located in a different time zone you will see when the event starts in your own time zone.
Event Details Box from a specific event
It is possible to show the Event Details Box from a specific event with a simple shortcode and attribute. This is also available as an element in Visual Composer.
We have also added the attribute local_tz, which will allow you to show the Event time in the visitors time zone.
This feature is very useful if you are running a website with events that take place in different time zones. E.g. is you host online web seminars, which are attended by users from different time zones.
